Group Head of Quality Techrete Balbriggan

Location: Techrete, Stephenstown Industrial Park, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin

We are now recruiting for the position of Group Head of Quality. This position reports to the Operations Director and is based at our Dublin facility. About The Role

The Group Head of Quality will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Company's Quality function across all manufacturing locations and projects. The role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality are consistently achieved in the design, manufacture, and installation of precast concrete facades. This position will develop and implement a group-wide quality strategy, drive continuous improvement, and maintain compliance with all relevant industry standards, certifications, and regulations.

Key responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

Develop, lead, and implement the Group Quality Strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Provide visible leadership and direction to Quality teams across all sites and projects.
Embed a culture of quality excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Quality Systems and Compliance

Oversee the maintenance and continual improvement of our national and international accreditations for ISO 9001, EN206, BES 6001 and other relevant quality management systems.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry codes, and client specifications.
Establish and maintain standardised quality processes and procedures across all group operations.

Operational Quality Management

Monitor quality performance across design, production, and installation phases of concrete facade projects.
Raw Material Oversight and work alongside our R&D department to audit suppliers of aggregates, cement and admixtures to ensure material consistency and compliance.
Lead root cause analysis, non-conformance management, and corrective/preventive action processes.
Ensure materials, workmanship, and finished products consistently meet specified standards.
Implement robust inspection and testing regimes at all project stages.

Continuous Improvement

Drive lean and best-practice initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Analyse performance metrics and present reports to the Executive Team and Board.
Introduce innovative methods and digital tools to improve quality monitoring and assurance.

Stakeholder and Client Engagement

Act as the senior point of contact for quality matters with clients, contractors, and regulators.
Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure cross-functional alignment.
Provide expert advice and technical guidance on quality issues at both strategic and operational levels.
Produce and engage with clients to Produce Projects specific quality manuals and ITPs across the business.

Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop quality managers and supervisors across the Group.
Build a high-performing, skilled, and collaborative quality workforce.
Provide training and awareness initiatives to enhance quality culture at all levels of the business.

About You

Essential:

Excellent leadership, influencing, and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive change.
Experience working across multiple sites and projects, with the ability to travel as required.

Desirable:

Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional status.
Lean manufacturing, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Required Qualifications/ Expertise

Significant experience in a senior quality leadership role within precast concrete, facades, or a related construction/manufacturing sector.
Proven track record of managing ISO-certified quality management systems.
Strategic leadership and vision.
Results-driven with focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
