Accuscience is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Applications Specialist to support our portfolio of Mindray ultrasound systems and critical care devices. This role focuses on providing clinical education, product demonstrations, workflow optimisation, and post-installation support to clinicians across hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide. You will deliver high-quality training, provide clinical expertise to support sales and service teams, and assist the sales team in achieving business goals. These results are achieved by combining great clinical skills with a real desire to deliver outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will have the necessary technical understanding and will be able to use that expertise to add value for the customer and provide them with the pre and post-sale support they need. The current Accuscience product portfolio comprises capital and consumable products mostly in the Critical Care, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Environment. The key focus will be Diagnostic and Therapeutic Ultrasound while their may be further upskill/training to include other area’s of clinical support within the Critical Care Environment on other devices.
The successful candidate will be a committed team player who works well as part of a high performing cross functional team. Currently the team comprises of 5 professionals, reporting to the Field Sales Manager, Medical Division. The team is supported by top class technical, operational, customer service and marketing teams who strive to deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The candidate must be willing to travel extensively for this role, nationwide and infrequently travel abroad to internal or supplier training events and conferences. This travel is often a major part of the induction period.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Clinical Training & Education
Deliver high-quality clinical training sessions for sonographers, anesthetists, theatre teams, and biomedical staff.
Provide in-theatre and onsite clinical support during initial product implementations and evaluations.
Develop and deliver training materials, clinical guides, and refresher education programs.
Product Demonstrations & Evaluations
Conduct live demonstrations of Mindray ultrasound systems and anesthesia machines.
Support clinical evaluations, ensuring users achieve optimal performance and confidence.
Collect and relay customer feedback to improve product positioning and training content.
Workflow Optimization
Analyze clinical workflows and recommend configuration or usage adjustments to improve efficiency.
Assist sites with integrating devices into their clinical environments and digital systems where applicable, in conjunction with ICT team.
Sales & Commercial Support
Work closely with the sales team to provide clinical expertise during meetings, tenders, and customer engagements.
Assist with building clinical value propositions and supporting product selection discussions.
Technical Liaison & Support
Collaborate with service engineers on escalated clinical‑technical issues.
Maintain deep knowledge of Mindray ultrasound platforms, anaesthesia machine features, and clinical applications.
Ensure accurate documentation, compliance, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Professional background as a sonographer, anaesthesia nurse, operating department practitioner, or equivalent clinical role.
Hands-on experience with ultrasound imaging or anaesthesia equipment
Previous experience working in the healthcare environment as a qualified sonographer or similar. Or is currently working as an Ultrasound Clinical Applications Specialist.
Demonstrable ability to absorb and retain significant levels of clinical/technical detail with the ability to pass this on effectively to customers.
Technologically competent in standard applications - Outlook, Word, Excel.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong written and spoken communication skills that enable clear, concise but complete information sharing.
Ability to present information in an impactful manner that ensures customers understand. Ability to explain technical concepts in a clinical context.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently.
Self-motivated, able to work alone with a clear focus.
Excellent prioritisation, planning and organisation skills.

Educated to at least Degree level in scientific/medical discipline is required.
