About Ardfert Community Centre & Ardfert Community Council:

Ardfert Community Council (the Company) is a non-profit organisation responsible for providing community services to the people of Ardfert and the surrounding localities.

Ardfert Community Council CLG works with the community to provide a range of services which are affordable, of good quality, accessible and available to all.

We provide a community centre, large childcare facility (day care and after-schools), community centre rooms, laundry, senior day care service, village green and sports recreational centre that includes a GAA pitch, an astra soccer pitch and an athletics track under development, which meets the needs of the residents of Ardfert and the surrounding area.

We strive to enhance the lives of local people of all ages, abilities, races and creeds without discrimination. By involving local volunteers and forming partnerships with other groups, we aim to make our facilities and services safe, well-maintained, and pleasant places to be.

Position Summary:

Ardfert Community Council are recruiting for an Office and Account Administrator. The position is in administration, financial account management, and involves interacting with a wide range of community stakeholders.This position requires a highly organised and motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Duties:

· Support and coordinate day-to-day office, administration, account management and facility operations and management

· General office duties including data entry, purchase orders, renewal of policies and statutory requirements, greeting people, telephone and reception

· Manage the financial system {xero} booking software system {sportskey}, and other software systems related to the specific ACC service

· Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice management across all areas of ACC, payments follow-up, and supplier payments.

· Monitor income and expenditure, and prepare basic financial reports

· Prepare and manage payroll and filing returns to Revenue via ROS.

· Maintain accurate employee records, including timesheets, leave entitlements, and attendance.

· Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, payroll reports, and general ledger postings

· Assist with grant applications, core funding and other office projects as needed

· Maintain internal policies and procedures and develop new processes

· Support the Board and management with meeting materials and minutes

· Maintain accurate records, develop a file management system, and a database.

· Manage the centre’s social media presence (Facebook, website, etc.) by creating engaging content, responding to inquiries, and building an online community.

· Assist with planning and executing special events and programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Strong analytical, reporting, organisational, communication, and IT skills.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

· Qualification and/or Experience in financial management, including payroll processing, accounts administration and office administration

· Proficiency in accounting software and booking platforms

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative role with accounts experience

· Excellent organisation, reporting, and presentation skills

· Provide excellent customer service to all centre users, ensuring their needs are met and their experience is positive.

· Experience on social media content development across all channels and customer engagement

· A passion for community development and a desire to contribute to the local community

Benefits:

Salary: Salary is based on qualifications and experience.

Full-time position 35-hour week – 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm – Monday to Friday)
