The Role
As Activities Assistant, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of all onsite and offsite activities while ensuring a seamless guest experience from enquiry through to participation.
You will work closely with the Activities Manager, Reservations, Reception and Front of House teams to manage bookings, liaise with guests and activity providers and maintain the highest standards of organisation, safety and service.
This is a varied and hands-on role that combines administration, guest interaction and participation in activities throughout the estate.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Activities Manager in managing, coordinating and delivering all guest activities.

Assist with the weekly, daily and monthly planning of onsite and offsite activities.

Work closely with the Reservations and Reception teams to ensure activity schedules are accurately managed in line with guest bookings.

Act as a point of contact for fishing club members, assisting with bookings, enquiries and ongoing communication.

Maintain a visible presence in front-of-house areas and assist guests with activity enquiries and recommendations.

Ensure all activity equipment is maintained, organised and in excellent working condition.

Monitor fishing club memberships and ensure fees are paid in a timely manner.

Ensure accurate guest billing for all activities and services.

Manage the activities and concierge inbox, ensuring guest enquiries are responded to within a 48-hour timeframe.

Participate in guest experiences where required, including guided walks, hikes, fishing lessons, art tours and picnics. Full training will be provided.

Support other hotel departments during quieter seasonal periods as required.

Assist Reception and Portering teams with guest luggage and help maintain front-of-house areas to the highest standard.

Promote a helpful, professional and friendly approach when interacting with guests and colleagues at all times.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, concierge, tourism or a similar customer-facing role.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Confidence working independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

An interest in outdoor activities, fishing, hiking or estate experiences would be advantageous.
