We are currently seeking highly-motivated Part-time and Relief Adult Home Support Workers to join our team in Enable Ireland Adult Services, Co Clare

Contract Type: Part-time and relief contracts available

Contract Hours: Evening, weekend and overnight shifts available

Salary Scale: The current salary scale for this post is 35,070 to 42,440 pro rata per annum.

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations

Annual Leave Entitlement: 10.7% of hours worked

Overview of the Post:

The purpose of the role is to provide support services to adults with physical disabilities in a community and home setting. This post will involve working in our community houses in the Ennis area and also supporting individuals in their family home.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the empowerment of people with disabilities working as part of a team through a person-centered approach and will work with service owners in accessing social and recreational activities in the community and assisting with all aspects of daily living.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential Criteria:

Minimum qualification QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules) in Social Care/Disability/Care skills or relevant heath related area. (Individuals with 2 modules completed will be eligible to apply once commitment given to complete the remainder of the major award)
1 years experience working with adults with disabilities.
Full clean drivers license and willingness to drive service transport.
Be Eligible to work in the state
Basic IT skills.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience working with adults in HIQA designated centre.
Experience of working in community and in-home setting.
Have experience supporting a service owner with behaviours that challenge
