About Aveo Foods
Aveo Foods is a growing Irish food manufacturer producing chilled and frozen ready meals for leading retail and foodservice customers across Ireland and Europe. As we expand, we are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis and support our continued growth.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will maintain accurate financial records and support the company’s daily finance and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records and bookkeeping systems.
- Process sales and supplier invoices, and credit notes.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Coordinate payroll information with external providers.
- Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and record-keeping requirements.
- Provide general finance and administrative support as required.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ bookkeeping experience.
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Professional, reliable, and capable of handling confidential information.
Desirable
- Experience in manufacturing, food manufacturing, or FMCG.
- Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent bookkeeping certification.
- Experience preparing management reports and supporting month-end processes.
What We Offer
- Salary: €40,000–€55,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time roles), depending on experience and qualifications.
