Full job description

We’re partnering with Steripack to find a Process Technician to join their growing manufacturing team in Mullingar. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technical professional with strong troubleshooting and maintenance experience to join a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment performance, reliability, and production targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and plant equipment
Perform preventative maintenance, unplanned maintenance, and equipment calibration activities
Support manufacturing lines to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance line performance and OEE
Assist in reducing waste and improving overall product quality
Complete maintenance and quality documentation in line with regulatory and company requirements
Support new equipment installations and CAPEX projects as part of the wider engineering team
Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure operational targets are met

Requirements

Technical qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent hands-on experience)
Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
Minimum 5 years’ experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or highly automated manufacturing environments is highly desirable
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding ability
Experience working with automated equipment or production lines would be an advantage
