Join Our Team at Strokestown Community Playschool ltd
Position: Childcare Practitioner
Location: Strokestown Community Playschool ltd
Start Date: 02/06/2026
Due to expansion, Strokestown Community Playschool and Afterschool are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Childcare Educator to join our team.
About Us:
At Strokestown Community Playschool and Afterschool, we pride ourselves on providing a safe, supportive, and inspiring space where children can grow, explore, and learn through play. Our team values collaboration, creativity, and a genuine love for early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support children's development
Provide a warm, caring, and inclusive environment
Monitor and document children’s learning and development
Help with homework and Afterschool activities
Ensure a safe and hygienic setting in line with best practices and regulations
Requirements:
Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent)
A genuine interest in and love for working with young children
Ability to create an atmosphere of fun for all the children
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of Aistear and Siolta frameworks is desirable but not essential
