FARM OPERATIVE / FARM ASSISTANT (FULL-TIME)

We're a grass-based spring-and-autumn calving dairy operation running 300+ high-EBI Friesian cows outside Trim, Meath. We're looking for an experienced, motivated person to join our team of six PT/FT staff. This role is suited to an individual looking for a long-term contract with scope to grow into an assistant management role.
THE FARM
- 300+ high-EBI Friesian cows
- Grass-based, spring-and-autumn calving system
- Modern 24-unit milking parlour (auto removers & dumpline)
- Strong focus on grassland management and sustainability
- Team of 6 full-time and part-time staff
THE ROLE
- Milking duties in a modern 24-unit parlour with auto removers
- Grass measurement and paddock management
- Calving and breeding support
- General farm maintenance and machinery work
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 2 years' dairy farm experience
- Full Irish driving licence required
- Reliable, enthusiastic and comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Must have the right to live and work in Ireland (Irish/EU nationals or valid work permit)
WHAT'S ON OFFER
- €16 - €20 per hour (depending on experience)
- Minimum 40 hours per week, flexible working hours
- Full-time, long-term contract (following 3-month probation)
- On-site accommodation provided free of charge (option for family to join post-probation)
- Flexible start date, ideally before end of July 2026
