About VEEP Energy & The Role
VEEP Energy is an established Irish solar PV and renewable energy company based in Dublin 11.
We are a growing SME with a close-knit team and are looking for an experienced Accounts & Finance Coordinator to take ownership of our day-to-day bookkeeping, financial administration and management reporting.
This is a hands-on role with genuine responsibility. You will work closely with management and the wider team and will need to understand what is happening across the business, not simply process transactions. This includes maintaining visibility of upcoming purchasing and operational requirements so that these can be incorporated into cash-flow planning.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in getting things right, can work independently, communicates well with colleagues and is comfortable taking responsibility for their area while remaining part of the wider team.
As with most roles in a growing SME, some flexibility is required, and you may occasionally be asked to assist with reasonable ad hoc tasks outside your usual responsibilities where business needs require it.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts & Finance
· Managing financial activities and day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero
· Issuing customer invoices
· Manual bank reconciliation and statement management
· Credit control and debtor follow-up
· Cash-flow monitoring and management
· Preparing and processing authorised bank transfers
· Liaising closely with the wider team regarding upcoming purchasing and cash-flow requirements
· Liaising with suppliers regarding accounts, orders and payments where required
· Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
Reporting & Planning
· Weekly and monthly KPI management
· Weekly, monthly and quarterly accounts summaries
· Weekly financial reporting to management
· Preparation and monitoring of budgets, costs and sales plans
· Assisting with three-year financial forecasts based on historical performance and future business plans
· Identifying discrepancies, unusual movements and matters requiring management attention
Payroll & HR Administration
· Processing employee timesheets
· Preparing wage summaries for payroll processing
· Registering new employees and issuing employment contracts
· Wage and annual leave reconciliation
· Maintaining confidential employee records
· General HR administration as required
General
· Answering incoming telephone calls when required
· Supporting the wider team with reasonable ad hoc tasks as business needs require
About You
Previous practical experience in bookkeeping, accounts or a similar finance role is essential. Strong Excel skills and previous experience with financial reporting, credit control, cash-flow management, payroll or HR administration would be advantageous.
