We are looking for an individual with proven track record of managing large projects and client relationships in the Custody area. The candidate should be organised, execution-oriented and seasoned manager with a strong risk management ethic. A sound knowledge of custody operations (including settlements and payments) to locally manage, together with regional / global functional leads, custody management services based in Ireland. Able to influence beyond the direct managerial span of control, the role requires comfort working in a highly matrixed environment and a sound understanding of both operational and legal entity perspectives.

What you will be responsible for
As Custody Management Services Ireland VP you will
THE ROLE
Responsible for oversight and management of a large project involving a full legal entity transition.
Responsible oversight and management of multiple clients in accordance with the agreed service levels, KPI and SLA provisions..
Lead and manage a consistent review of services and tools.
Operate strategically and engage with global and regional organisational stakeholders in the delivery of the custody transition
Support the delegation and outsourcing oversight model to ensure that functional activities are conducted effectively.
Drive change in line with overall divisional objectives.
Ensure that the business unit operates in compliance with internal and external regulations and that escalation procedures are followed.
Ensure that all procedures, systems and controls are regularly reviewed and in line with the risk profile of the unit.
Support the planning and management of the daily processes in an effective utilization of resources with the support of your reporting manager.
MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Management of a large team of people.
Demonstrate the ‘Risk Excellence’ culture in behaviours and ensure that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in own and staff behaviour.
Ensure the team has clear understanding of their reporting lines, authority levels, scope of responsibilities (including those delegated to them and those they delegate), objectives, and training and competency requirements.
Develop effective working relationships and communications with staff and ensure that staff are motivated, developed and supported.
Establish and monitor an effective delegation framework to ensure that tasks are performed by staff members with appropriate capacity and authority level (based on knowledge, skills and competence).
Support and monitor an effective oversight framework to ensure that issues are appropriately identified, escalated and resolved.
Establish and nurture a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability into staff members’ behaviour in performing their roles

Education & Preferred Qualifications
University Degree in Law or Banking, Finance, Economics,
Previous years of experience in the Banking and Investment Fund business
Strong understanding of operational processes across all aspects of Global Custody
