Position Overview
Stacks Supply isn't just a broadline distributor; we are a specialist wholesaler servicing the independent café channel and foodservice industry. We understand the rhythm of a morning rush, the importance of margin, and what makes a specialty coffee shop tick. We are looking for a driven Wholesale Account Manager & Business Developer who speaks this language fluently.
In this dual-focus role, you will be the ultimate growth partner for our existing clients while aggressively hunting for new business. You won't just be taking orders, you will be consulting with business owners, solving their supply headaches, and introducing them to the premium products that will elevate their menus.
Key Responsibilities
· Proactive Business Development: Scout and target new openings, independent coffee shops, and multi-site hospitality groups. Pitch Stacks Supply as their single-source specialist for premium consumables and barista tools.
· Consultative Account Management: Act as a strategic commercial partner to our current accounts. Conduct regular site visits to review their menus, introduce trending products (like new alternative milks or seasonal syrups), and help them optimise their offerings to increase their revenue.
· Sales & Pipeline Growth: Manage the full B2B sales cycle from cold outreach and product sampling (cuppings/tastings) to closing the deal and ensuring a seamless onboarding process.
· Brand Ambassadorship: Attend coffee festivals, barista throwdowns, and hospitality networking events to build the Stacks Supply brand presence within the local cafe community.
· Market Intelligence: Keep a pulse on the rapidly changing coffee scene. Feed insights on emerging trends, competitor activity, and new product demands back to our purchasing and marketing teams.
What We Are Looking For
· Commercial Experience: Minimum 2 years of successful experience in B2B sales, wholesale business development, OR 2+ years as a Multi-Site Manager/Head Barista with a strong commercial mindset and a desire to pivot into wholesale sales.
· The "Cafe" Gene: You deeply understand cafe operations, barista workflow, and the daily pain points of a cafe owner (cost per cup, supplier reliability, product quality).
· Hunter & Farmer Mentality: You get a thrill from knocking on doors and winning new business, but you also have the emotional intelligence to nurture long-term, trust-based relationships.
· Autonomy & Drive: You are highly self-disciplined, comfortable managing your own territory, structuring your weekly field visits, and consistently hitting quarterly targets.
· Mobility: A valid driver's license is required for daily travel to clients and prospects. Work vehicle included.
