Join us as a Controls Business Partner at Barclays, where you'll be responsible for maintaining a robust risk and control framework across the European Operations Teams. You will be required to implement and manage the internal control framework that promotes a strong self-assessment culture and ownership across the Corporate Operations teams.
To be successful as a Control Business Partner, you should have experience with:
- Quality Assurance/Control Testing and reporting experience.
- Practical knowledge of internal controls, including the development and maintenance of appropriate frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to influence others positively.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
- Strong knowledge of Operational Risk.
- Experience working in global/pan-European teams.
- Effective presentation and training skills.

This role will be based in Dublin.
Minimum Salary: €56,000
The minimum salary information above includes only annual full-time equivalent base salary and typically represents the lowest level of pay for this role. The actual pay rate will reflect the responsibility level of the role and experience level of the individual. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role
To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk.
Accountabilities
- Knowledge of business areas, products, processes and platforms to be able to assess risk
- Collaboration with various stakeholders across the bank and business units to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings.
- Identification and investigation of potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned to the bank’s control framework, prioritised by its severity to disrupt bank operations.
- Development of reports to communicate key findings from risk assessment including control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Execution of reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned to established and evolving policies, regulation, and best practice.
- Implementation of adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology of assessing controls against the Controls Framework.
