Title and Summary
Manager, Product Management – Access to Capital & Credit Risk
Overview
Mastercard Credit Intelligence is building solutions that help financial institutions assess credit risk, expand responsible access to financing, and grow small and medium-sized business lending. The Access to Capital (A2C) team brings together financial institutions, issuers, capital providers, technology partners, and Mastercard capabilities to create scalable lending opportunities.
This global role will lead the commercialization of existing pilots and emerging opportunities, build strategic relationships, and expand the initiative across markets. It combines commercial lending expertise, business development, relationship management, product management, and program execution. The successful candidate will operate with significant autonomy and turn lending opportunities into practical, commercially viable solutions for financial institutions and small businesses.
All About the Role
- Lead financial institution pilots and qualified opportunities from concept through implementation, commercialization, and scale.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with financial institutions, issuers, capital providers, development finance organizations, and ecosystem partners.
- Partner with global and regional Sales, Account Management, Advisors, and business development teams to identify, shape, qualify, and advance lending opportunities and grow the pipeline.
- Lead or support client discovery, proposition development, commercial discussions, business cases, and pilot-to-commercial conversion.
- Apply expertise in commercial or SME lending, credit risk, underwriting, loan origination, servicing, or portfolio management to design practical client solutions.
- Translate financial institution needs into clear product, data, credit decisioning, underwriting, origination, workflow, implementation, and operational requirements.
- Translate the A2C and Mastercard Lending Network strategy into scalable operating models and measurable commercial outcomes.
- Coordinate capital-provider and strategic-partner workstreams, converting ecosystem relationships into executable financial institution opportunities.
- Lead complex cross-functional work across Product, Sales, Legal, Privacy, Finance, Technology, and regional teams to establish governance, manage dependencies and risks, resolve blockers, and accelerate delivery.
- Develop trusted executive relationships with financial institutions and ecosystem partners to deepen partnerships, increase adoption, and accelerate commercialization across Mastercard capabilities.
- Help evolve A2C from pilot validation through live lending and multi-market scale toward the Mastercard Lending Network, including lender onboarding, portfolio monitoring, capital-provider connectivity, and Mastercard-enabled disbursement and repayment capabilities.
- Support initiatives that expand SME credit availability and drive incremental card issuance opportunities.
