Warehouse Operator
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Client Site, Dublin
Overview of Role:
The Warehouse Operator will support the safe, secure and efficient handling, movement, loading, unloading, storage, stock control and preparation of seized, detained and other goods at the Revenue State Warehouse. The role is a hands-on operational position requiring manual handling capability, forklift competence, accurate inventory work, strict confidentiality and compliance with all site health, safety, environmental and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manual handling of sealed bags, boxes, and other materials
Loading and unloading of boxes, crates, and pallets
Safe operation of forklifts
Starting and moving motor vehicles including articulated and rigid trucks
Stock inventory management and checking in/out of boxes, bags, and crates using Revenue's inventory management system
Assisting with the receipt and dispatch of seized goods
Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization
Supporting the Warehouse Supervisor in daily operations
Operating shredding equipment for secure destruction of goods
Reporting any issues or discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor
Support stock inventory and check-in/check-out of goods using Revenue's in-house inventory management system
Complying with all site security, confidentiality, health and safety protocols and procedures
Support preparation of goods for disposal, destruction or transport.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Current valid forklift driving licence
Training in manual handling techniques
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Basic computer literacy for inventory management system use
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Ability to work in a security-conscious environment
Desirable : Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Driving Experience
Desirable :CE licence for onsite work
