Who we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced Head of Compliance (PCF12) to lead Compliance for State Street Custodial Services (Ireland) Limited (SSCSIL). This is a senior leadership role within the Compliance Department, acting as a key member of the second line of defence and accountable for overseeing core compliance risks across the entity.
The role is a Pre‑Approval Controlled Function (PCF‑12) under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness & Probity Regime and falls within scope of the Individual Accountability Framework. You will engage closely with senior management, the Board, regulators, and regional/global Compliance partners to ensure strong regulatory outcomes.
This role operates in a hybrid model in Dublin, Kilkenny, or Naas.

Your leadership will directly support the firm’s ability to meet regulatory expectations, manage risk proactively, and operate with integrity in a highly regulated environment.
What you will be responsible for
As Head of Compliance (PCF12) you will:
Lead and manage the SSCSIL Compliance team within the second line of defence framework
Act as PCF‑12 under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness & Probity Regime
Provide expert advice, oversight, and credible challenge on compliance and conduct risk matters
Own and oversee the SSCSIL Core Compliance Risk Assessment (CCRA)
Deliver compliance risk opinions and present regularly to the Board and Risk Committee
Oversee risk‑based compliance monitoring and testing programmes
Act as senior liaison with the Central Bank of Ireland and other regulators
Coordinate and support regulatory inspections, reviews, and ongoing supervisory engagement
Represent Compliance at Board, Executive Committee, and key governance forums
Oversee second‑line compliance coverage for Depositary and Custodial activities

Education & Preferred Qualifications
University degree in finance, accounting, banking, law, or a related discipline
Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial services, with a strong compliance focus
Experience in Depositary, Custody, or Fund Services strongly preferred
Prior experience in a PCF or other senior control function beneficial
Professional compliance qualification or diploma advantageous
