The Role

The management and maintenance of all aspects of the HSE Management Systems within Smurfit Westrock Dublin.
Prompt communication & reporting when dealing with accident / incident investigations & general queries relating to HSE matters.
Liaise directly with Production, Planning, Sales & Finance departments to ensure all HSE control system and procedures are adhered to.
On time reporting of all weekly, monthly, yearly HSE reports to the Plant Manager & relevant SKG personnel as required.
Managing, driving and overseeing all aspects of Health and Safety within SK Dublin. This includes all Health & Safety KPIs by maximising the use of all systems to minimise SK Dublin’s TRIR by supporting all company programmes designed for continuously improving our systems and performance.
Conducting and communicating Risk Assessments and creating Safe Systems of Work to ensure safe operations on site.
Management and proposal of capital and other special projects related to Health Safety and Environment. This includes assisting in establishing costs, working within budgets, managing contractors etc.
Responsible for co-ordinating and management of all Environmental & H/S audits to a successful conclusion.
Arrange and manage all HSE related training for appropriate employees as required.
Acceptance and support of all new systems and procedures as they are introduced that relate to HSE Management.
Management of sourcing and acquisition of PPE and associated H&S supplies.
Any other reasonable duties as deemed appropriate by the Operations Manager or Plant Manager.

Attendance at appropriate management and other meetings.
