Part-Qualified Accountant

We are seeking a motivated Part-Qualified Accountant to join our growing accountancy practice. The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses, providing accounting, taxation, and advisory services. This role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting functions and an opportunity to develop strong client relationships within a professional practice environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of annual financial statements for small and medium-sized companies in accordance with relevant accounting standards
- Assisting with VAT returns, RCT Returns, and VAT compliance
- Preparation and submission of Income Tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and directors
- Assisting with external Audits
- Preparation and filing of Corporation Tax returns
- Liaising with clients to obtain financial information and provide support on accounting queries
- Assisting clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software where required
- Supporting partners and senior staff with tax planning and advisory work
- Ensuring compliance with relevant tax and statutory filing deadlines
- Maintaining accurate client records and working papers
- Dealing with correspondence with the Revenue Commissioners where required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, Chartered Accountants Ireland, or CPA Ireland) or other relevant qualification
- Experience working in an accountancy practice environment is desirable
- Strong knowledge of Irish tax and accounting regulations
- Experience preparing company financial statements and tax returns
- Proficiency in accounting software packages and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with cloud accounting platforms (e.g. Xero, Sage, Bright) is an advantage
