Senior Cloud Engineer responsible for building, operating, and improving Kubernetes-based cloud platforms that support critical healthcare software solutions. This role focuses on reliability, observability, automation, and developer experience across AWS-based production environments.

We are looking for a talented Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Cardiac Rhythm Software division. In this role, you will be responsible for the health, observability, and maintainability of our production environment, along with the supporting components that enable our day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in cloud-native technologies, systems administration, networking, storage, and software development.
A Day in the Life
- Ensure the environments are available and operating effectively by monitoring availability and performance through a holistic view of system health.
- Contribute to improving platform stability and enhancing the developer experience.
- Write, test, and review code.
- Work closely with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to support sprint planning, participate in scrum ceremonies, and deliver high-quality outcomes in each sprint.
Must have
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar role.
- 3+ years of experience working with AWS cloud technologies.
- 3+ years of experience working with Linux.
- Experience with Kubernetes Operators, including creating custom operators.
- Experience operating production workloads on Kubernetes, including deployment, troubleshooting, and upgrade management.
- Strong experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Programming experience in Go (Golang), including test-driven development practices.
Nice to Have:
- Experience deploying and operating Kubernetes clusters, ideally in a non-managed or self-managed cloud environment.
- Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes RBAC, Helm, Flux, Istio, and/or Terratest.
- Experience with GitHub Actions.
- Experience with GitOps deployment practices, ideally using Flux.
Familiarity with Kubernetes Cluster API, Bottlerocket OS, and building custom AWS AMIs.
