Job Description: FP&A Analyst (Hybrid)

FP&A Analyst
The FP&A Analyst will report to the Head of Management Reporting and play a crucial role in the FP&A team that operates at the strategic centre of the organisation. This team support the delivery of high-quality analysis, reporting and insights to support planning, forecasting and strategic decision making. This role operates in an organisation and team that is fast paced, cross functional and highly collaborative. The role is deeply focused on data, automation and process improvement, helping to modernise reporting. The FP&A team works with modern tools such as Power BI and advanced excel modelling and encourages automation, scalability and forward-looking insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning, Reporting & Performance Management
- Prepare monthly management reporting packs, dashboards and KPI tracking.
- Support budgeting and forecasting planning cycles by collaborating across the organisation to gather relevant data and assumptions.
- Ownership of weekly cashflow and 12-month cash projections across the company working cross functionally with Financial Control & Finance Shared Services
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Support senior management with ad-hoc financial analysis.
Strategic Decision Support & Commercial Insight
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, deep dive analysis, and decision-making processes
- Provide forward-looking financial insights to shape business strategies.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Influence
- Business partner with the commercial finance team to provide accurate and timely management reporting utilised by both finance and operations.
- Influence decision-making through clear, insight-driven recommendations.
Governance, Controls & Continuous Improvement
- Continuously improve reporting, forecasting and planning processes through automation and best practices by staying informed of evolving technologies within the industry
- Participate in function and career development training to develop new skills essential to the future of our Finance Team
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant or Part Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 2+ years of experience in FP&A, Data Analytics or BI with a strong record of automating reporting, improving processes and enhancing data quality.
- Strong financial and analytical grounding with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
- Detail-orientated communicator who can partner effectively across finance.
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookup formula’s, modelling)
- Experience with financial planning software (e.g. Unit 4 Agresso) is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proactive and self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Business acumen and curiosity to understand operations
- Agile and flexible as priorities change.
