Apollo Social Programme Coordinator & Operations Assistant
Role Summary
We are seeking an energetic, outgoing, and highly organised Social Programme Coordinator & Operations Assistant to plan, deliver, and oversee a dynamic schedule of afternoon activities and excursions for our international students.
This dual-role position combines hands-on activity leadership with essential operational and administrative support. The successful candidate will bring creativity, strong organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional student experiences.
The ideal candidate has a genuine enthusiasm for Ireland—its culture, history, and attractions—and is excited to share this with students from diverse international backgrounds.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Programme Delivery & Activity Leadership
- Plan and deliver a fun, engaging, and diverse programme of social activities and excursions.
- Lead groups to cultural attractions, museums, and key destinations across Ireland.
- Provide informative and engaging commentary during activities and visits.
- Use Apollo’s programme framework while introducing new and creative activity ideas.
- Capture high-quality photo and video content during activities.
- Share content with the marketing team and post updates on social media in line with brand guidelines.
Student Engagement & Experience
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages student participation.
- Engage students in conversation to build confidence and support English language practice.
- Promote weekly activities and drive bookings via the Apollo Student App.
- Address student concerns and resolve issues professionally, escalating where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall student experience.
Operations & Administrative Support
- Manage bookings, attendance, and logistical coordination for all activities and excursions.
- Organise payments related to programme activities in line with Apollo procedures.
- Prepare and distribute weekly schedules, announcements, and internal communications.
- Support operational tasks including:
- Coordinating agency visits and school tours
- Assisting with emergency support phone cover (rota basis)
- Supporting summer arrivals (2 Sundays in July/August)
- Carry out general administrative and operational duties as required.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Student Experience and Operations teams to ensure smooth programme delivery.
- Assist in scheduling, coordinating meeting points, and organising transport logistics.
Safety & Welfare
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students at all times during activities.
- Follow all Apollo safeguarding, welfare, and emergency procedures.
- Report any concerns promptly and professionally to relevant staff members.
Role Details
- Start Date: Monday, 27th of July
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 17:15, plus 2 Saturdays per month (Saturday hours vary depending on excursion destinations)
- Onboarding & Training: Paid training sessions provided.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in customer service, tourism, education, or events
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident leading groups
- Social media/content creation skills (desirable)
- Use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) to support administrative tasks, communications, and reporting.
Pay: €30,000.00-€33,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dublin, County Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
