KNOW THE ROLE
We are looking for a hands-on, operationally focused Property & Facilities Manager to support facilities management across Brown Thomas Arnotts. This role plays a key part in delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable operations that enhance our stores and customer environments.
You will oversee all engineering, maintenance, compliance, and building services activity across multiple sites, ensuring high standards of safety, performance, and reliability. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you will champion operational excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement to support our Reinventing Retail vision and company values.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of all facilities and maintenance operations across Brown Thomas Arnotts sites

Define and implement facilities standards, operational policies, and compliance frameworks

Ensure statutory, regulatory, and CE compliance across all buildings and assets

Manage preventative and corrective maintenance programs to maximise asset performance and uptime

Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with SLAs
-
Work cross-functionally with Business Operations, Projects, Health & Safety, and Finance to support organisational initiatives

Drive sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental best practices across the estate

Maintain budgets, forecasting, and expenditure controls to deliver cost-effective solutions

Lead incident response and act as primary contact for critical operational events

Support the planning and delivery of property and refurbishment projects across all locations

Develop and mentor the Property & Facilities team, promoting a culture of accountability and professional growth

Deliver performance updates, reports, and insights to the senior leadership team
KNOW WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Third level degree or equivalent in a sustainability-related area: Environmental Science, Sustainable Development or similar (desirable)

Experience in a comparable role with a proven track record in sustainability in a business environment (desirable)

A clear communicator, assertive and comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Strong attention to detail with an ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously

Strong analytical skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint

Ability to deliver on time to a consistently high standard

A passion for people and planet

The written communication skills to produce succinct correspondence and reporting

Strong analytical skills, able to manage and manipulate performance data, utilising it to drive future improvement
