A Truly Mission-Driven Company
We aren’t your typical business. Our team cares deeply about helping Ireland transition to green energy and helping families reduce their utility bills. But our mission goes further: PureVolt was founded to make a difference, not just a profit. We give away 100% of our profits to provide free solar panel systems to Irish charities and good causes. When you work here, your daily efforts directly contribute to a greener country and support local communities. If you know an organisation that could use clean energy, we actively encourage our team to recommend them for our free solar scheme.
How Our Installation Process Works
We pride ourselves on being hyper-organised so you can just focus on doing a great job. Here is exactly how a project moves from an inquiry to your hands:
- Digital Design & Quoting: When a lead comes in, our software maps the property via Google Maps. We design a bespoke system based on roof pitch, direction, and the client's energy consumption habits.
- On-Site Engineering Survey: Our head engineer conducts a physical site visit to verify measurements, check the electrics, and note any necessary modifications.
- Final Specifications: A finalised design is created and distributed to you and the team. Our goal is zero surprises when you arrive on site.
- Logistics & Scheduling: We secure materials and lock in an installation date with the customer.
- The Roofers: Our Dublin roofing crew arrives first to securely mount the solar panels.
- Your Turn (The Electrical Work): You and a fellow electrician arrive to complete all electrical integrations, test the components, and successfully commission the system.
Responsibilities of the Role
- Executing the electrical installation of Solar PV systems (inverters, battery storage, EV chargers, CT clamps, fireman switches, etc.).
- Coordinating seamlessly with the roofing team for optimal cable management and scheduling.
- Testing and inspecting all systems for safety and flawless operation, including assessing existing electrical frameworks for hazards, malfunctions, or damage.
- Providing professional guidance, system assessments, and advice directly to our customers.
- Strictly complying with the SEAI Domestic Solar photovoltaic code of practice for installers.
- Maintaining clear, ongoing communication with PureVolt's management and the central office team regarding project progress.
- Documenting your work and capturing necessary imagery for SEAI grant processing.
- Being the Face of PureVolt: You will interact directly with homeowners, demonstrating how their new system works. Our 5-star reputation is built on your tidiness, excellent workmanship, and friendly communication.
What You Need to Succeed (Essential Requirements)
- Certification: National Craft Certificate Electrical (Fully Qualified Electrician).
- Licensing: A full, clean Irish driving licence.
- Safety: A valid Safe Pass and a strong grasp of H&S protocols.
- Skills: Exceptional time management and communication skills.
Desirable, but not dealbreakers:
- Previous Solar PV experience.
- Micro Gen certification.
- Manual Handling Certificate.
- Comfortability assisting with roof-level work.
- Experience guiding or participating in informal team briefings.
- Prior experience communicating directly with homeowners in a residential construction or installation environment.
(Note: If you have the electrical expertise but lack solar experience, we will provide the training you need!)
