As a Regional Environmental Compliance Program Manager, you will be supporting our data centre sites on the full range of regulatory environmental requirements, including European, National, and local regulations with emphasis on air, water, waste management and energy efficiency with a fundamental understanding of environmental and/or energy management systems (EEMS) aligned to ISO14001 and ISO50001. You will identify environmental risks and aspects and ensure Microsoft data centres remain in full compliance, communicate these requirements to all stakeholders and senior management, and provide training online and/or in person on compliance and our environmental management systems.

As a Regional Environmental Compliance Program Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities
Responsibilities:

Manage environmental compliance program for operating sites and handover of construction projects to operations.

Interact with facility personnel, company management, legal counsel, environmental and sustainability teams, and other relevant internal stakeholders to communicate environmental requirements, identify compliance issues, act as a technical resource for key initiatives such as the EEMS.

Define and support with necessary training for facility operations and EHS personnel that are managing environmental issues.

Develop and support internal and external audit programmes and site incident investigations.

Monitor development of legislative changes in the EMEA region and provide updates at regional level and for site teams where appropriate.

Manage/support the centralised EEMS program, including continuous improvement and regional readiness for applicable certification or assurance requirements.

Develop cross functional collaboration relationships with multiple internal teams and you will embody the One Microsoft approach to achieving success

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field AND 6+ years experience in Environmental Health and Safety Worldwide Regulations

OR equivalent experience.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:

6+ years experience in Environmental and/or energy compliance in EU countries

Experience with Enhesa, Enablon or similar tools.

ISO 14001 and ISO50001 Implementation and Auditor Training
