The core focus of this role is to deliver best in class Engineering Operations SME support to accounts to achieve our overall objectives of Mitigating Risk, Driving Quality, Optimising cost and Cutting Carbon. As also continuously innovating/ improving JLL’s engineering services offering in partnership with JLL Technology.
The role involves collaboration with other functional teams in Ops Excellence, HSSE and engineering talent across Work Dynamics to deliver the best value for accounts and their clients.
The role will also work alongside Workplace Management Leadership in EMEA to provide Engineering SME inputs.
Key Responsibilities and expectations
Subject matter expert in general engineering operations supporting targeted accounts and the wider business - channelled to the business needs. Smaller accounts may require deeper engineering expertise and support including root cause analysis and risk mitigation for incidents. Identify opportunities to connect other SMEs in the Center of Expertise Platform to accounts or HSSE.
Lead engineering and technical services innovation in partnership with Work Dynamics Technology to drive best in class operational performance on all assigned accounts through idea sharing, and general collaboration.
Work closely with Engineering Solutions and Sales teams to provide engineering expertise in RFP/RFI response efforts as required; this could include collaborating on technical responses, example deliverables, yellow pad sessions, presentations, staffing model development, site tours and pricing exercises. Make recommendations to the bid management team on improvements to proposal language and technical deliverables. Work with HSSE, Sustainability Services and Mobile Engineering to help design holistic best in class engineering solutions.
Support deployment of maintenance and asset management programs utilising CMMS and other technology/ tools. Drive utilisation and optimise data quality/consistency.
Deploy technical training programs and certification programs in support of and alignment with Education and Professional Development strategy.
Ensure effective and consistent collaboration with HSSE and QC teams to deliver compliance and assurance programs and meet JLL minimum standards.
Support engineering operations transition activities for new business and expansions including on-boarding requirements.
Interview and assess IFM technical resources/ identify and monitor development of engineering and technical talent in the sub region.
Develop comprehensive standard operating procedures with other SME’s, standard response procedures, and emergency procedures - including training, guidance and deployment of our JLL Client Assurance Program (JCAP) and associated technology platform for technical/engineering services.
Conduct on-site building evaluations and lead due diligence efforts including oversight, evaluation and reporting. These could be Ad-hoc and for bid or expansion purposes.
Support SME responses as required associated with IFM technical related services (including code, Union concerns etc).
Collaborate extensively with other functions within the COE to drive best value of the platform’s programs and SMEs to accounts
Requirements
Minimum 10 years in engineering operations in IFM.
A university degree in engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
Direct experience leading/managing others and demonstrating followership.
Requires a continuous improvement mindset with an ability to promote change amongst teams.
Experience driving and deploying large scaling initiatives and programs across varied people, assets and geographies.
Position could require 30% travel.
Requires general understanding and can demonstrate understanding Engineering Delivery, commercial implications and risk, and change management.
Demonstrated collaborative leadership skills and ability to quickly identify, respond to and resolve issues.
Should have broad understanding of various IFM commercial structures and implications of each related to operational delivery.
Demonstrated skill in influencing, key stakeholder management and relationship management.
General understanding and experience with RE Outsourcing, and client needs and expectations.
