As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Junior Engineer to join our expanding team in Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting high‑profile semiconductor projects with one of the world’s leading technology clients.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in supporting engineering documentation, material procurement, and project coordination for tool install projects at Intel.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Review Field Walk Reports (FWR) and 1DR packages, identifying engineering queries and submitting comments via Intel SharePoint.
Attend FWR, 1DR, OTS, and internal engineering meetings (on site or online as required).
Support engineering teams by responding to site and OSM queries and generating Records of Discussion (RODs).
Review weekly Intel specifications and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), advising the project team of any updates.
Transfer C’AM material lists to supplier order sheets and issue RFQs.
Raise requisitions upon receipt of quotes and manage material ordering per tool.
Coordinate change materials as required.
Maintain up-to-date Tool Tracker documentation.
Attend internal Weltec project meetings and Intel project meetings as required.
Support any additional tasks assigned by the Engineering Manager to meet project or business needs.
Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
Carry out Site Reviews of Field Points of Connection, P&IDs, Schematics, potential routing constraints and verify design information.
Work with the Design Team to create detailed 3D models using BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit/ Plant 3D) based on architectural and engineering drawings.
Review P&IDs, Schematics and Location Specific Packs, identify parts and components to be placed on order and generate reports for any discrepancies identified.
Coordinate with designers, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate design changes and updates into BIM models.
Provide support to Design team in answering queries around Discrepancies in Design Documentation, Specifications, routing, and site clashes.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Recently graduated or early-career engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or similar discipline).
Strong attention to detail and an interest in technical documentation and procurement processes.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable working with digital platforms (SharePoint experience an advantage).
Willingness to attend site meetings at Intel when required.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the team.
