Full job description

At DÍON, we’re creating more than just a restaurant and bar. We’re building a destination — where exceptional food, cocktails, and hospitality meet Dublin’s signature warmth and energy.

We’re looking for Receptionists who will be the first face and voice of the restaurant — greeting guests with genuine warmth and ensuring every arrival feels like the start of something special.

The Role

As a Receptionist at DÍON, you’ll set the tone for the guest experience. You’ll manage the flow of the restaurant, coordinate reservations with the floor team, and make sure every guest feels welcomed, informed, and looked after from the moment they walk in (or before).

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and seat guests with confidence, warmth, and professionalism
Manage the flow of reservations and walk-ins throughout service
Liaise with the management and floor teams to ensure seamless communication
Handle guest enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email
Be knowledgeable about menus, special events, and policies
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and entrance area
Support with reservation coordination through SevenRooms and other platforms
Anticipate guest needs, manage expectations, and deliver an exceptional first impression

About You

2-4 years’ experience in a host, reception, or guest services role (restaurant or hotel preferred)
Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Naturally welcoming, very well-presented, and guest-focused
Organised and composed in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable using booking and reservation systems (our system is SevenRooms)
A team player who thrives in dynamic, service-driven settings
Passionate about hospitality and ready to bring energy and personality to the role
