Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer - Kernel Security, your responsibilities will include:

Build, develop, and maintain kernel security features for PlayStation systems.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to successfully implement security improvements.
Debug and resolve sophisticated security issues within the kernel.
Supervise and analyze security threats to determine the best course of action.
Assist with open-source projects associated with kernel security.
Maintain code quality through meticulous testing and code reviews.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in C programming languages, other programming language like C++ is a plus.
Experience with kernel development, freeBSD knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge in kernel security concepts and practices.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub.
Excellent debugging skills and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to work autonomously and within a cooperative group.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will also have:

Advanced knowledge of operating systems and low-level programming.
Experience contributing to widely recognized open-source projects.
Effective communication abilities and the capability to clearly explain intricate technical ideas.
A strong passion for gaming and knowledge of the gaming industry.
