We're looking for a
Senior Games Engineer to join Glitch's growing games team and help shape the future of their interactive experiences. Working closely with studio leadership, creatives, and fellow developers, you'll play a key role in developing original games from concept through launch using
Unreal Engine 5.
This is an opportunity to build something new while leveraging established IP with an enormous built-in audience.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain gameplay systems, features, and functionality in Unreal Engine 5
- Collaborate with leadership, designers, artists, and developers to deliver engaging player experiences
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable C++ and Blueprint code
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical challenges
- Optimise game performance, stability, and memory usage across target platforms
- Contribute to technical architecture and development planning
- Integrate assets, tools, and systems into production pipelines
- Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices
- Support development throughout the full game lifecycle, from prototyping to launch
- Assist with testing, bug fixing, iteration, and polish
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of professional game development experience
- Strong experience developing games in Unreal Engine 5
- Advanced proficiency with C++ and Blueprints
- Solid understanding of game architecture, systems design, and engineering best practices
- Experience delivering gameplay features from concept through implementation
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience improving game performance and technical stability
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for creating exceptional player experiences
Bonus Points For
- Experience shipping games on PC, console, or mobile
- Multiplayer or online game development experience
- Familiarity with Git, Perforce, or similar version control systems
- Experience building internal tools, pipelines, or workflows
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or modern development methodologies
- Interest in animation, online entertainment, gaming communities, or internet culture
- A proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for making great games
