Senior member of the team responsible for the:
- Hedging of the interest rate, cross currency and basis risk that originate from the Group's balance sheet;
- Management of the Group's high-quality liquid asset (HQLA) securities portfolio;
- Management of the day-to-day liquidity of the bank to facilitate timely settlement of the Group's obligations;
- Execution of the Group's Wholesale Funding Activities; and
- Management of the day-to-day treasury activities of the Retail Ireland division and Bank of Ireland Mortgage Bank.
- Understand and manage the various forms of risk that the Group incurs in its core activities.
- Maximise the value from the Group's franchise through proactive and astute portfolio management within defined risk tolerances.
- Foster and develop strong working relationships with key group partners and provide insight on financial markets to senior Group stakeholders.
- Participate in group transformation programs with particular focus on simplifying hedging processes.
- Manage external market and financial market infrastructure counterparts.
Minimum of 5-10 years experience in a balance sheet execution/hedging role for a Financial Institution or Corporate Treasury.
Strong technical knowledge and experience with a deep understanding of financial markets and exceptional commercial acumen.
Team focussed with strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
Capacity to challenge the status-quo with compelling reasoning.
Strong governance mindset and regulatory awareness.
Experience or knowledge of Bank's balance sheets and underlying structural balance sheet risks and how that risk is managed and hedged.
Excellent numerical ability, analytical and quantitative analysis skills.
Ability to utilise your network to enhance business performance.
Knowledge or experience of working on projects and regulatory frameworks associated with interest rate and/or credit spread risk.
Degree or Masters level Qualification
The Group Treasury team is responsible for Capital Management, Funding and Liquidity management including management of the Group's liquid assets, Balance Sheet Management and Capital execution, Group Financial Planning and Analysis, Regulatory Capital and ICAAP analytics and the Group's Recovery and Resolution planning activities along with other core Finance activities. Group Treasury is part of the Group Finance division and is a key enabler of the Group's strategic deliverables.
