The Team and the opportunity
This role sits at the centre of how EY translates AI ambition into scalable, production ready solutions for clients. Through collaboration and domain expertise, our team embeds innovative AI & Data solutions into existing business areas, transforming data into strategic assets. We are looking for an AI Delivery Architect who is passionate about leveraging AI & data to solve complex problems and drive business outcomes.
As an AI Delivery Architect at EY, you will act as a client embedded technical and architectural authority, responsible for shaping, designing, and delivering enterprise‑grade AI solutions from concept to scaled production
You will work closely with EY Partners, account leaders, and senior client executives to translate AI ambition into secure, compliant, and production-ready architectures that withstand regulatory scrutiny and operate in complex enterprise environments.
This role combines deep AI architecture expertise, hands‑on delivery leadership, and commercial accountability, with a strong emphasis on Responsible AI, risk management, and sustainable client enablement.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to EY Partners and C-suite client stakeholders, shaping AI strategies and target architectures aligned to client business priorities, risk appetite, and regulatory context.
- Define and own end-to-end AI solution architectures, including GenAI platforms (RAG, agents, copilots), ML platforms and model lifecycle management, data, integration, and API layers.
- Design AI architectures that meet enterprise standards for security, resilience, auditability, and regulatory compliance, while navigating complex governance and legacy constraints.
- Provide senior-level technical oversight during delivery, escalation, and production stabilisation, and lead the transition of AI solutions from PoV to scaled production, ensuring performance, reliability, and business adoption.
- Embed EY Responsible AI principles into all AI architectures, partnering with Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams to implement governance frameworks, model risk controls, and human oversight mechanisms.
- Ensure AI solutions are auditable and defensible, supporting clients through regulatory discussions and scrutiny from boards, regulators, and external auditors.
- Support client growth and pursuits by shaping solution approaches, contributing to proposals, and demonstrating technical credibility.
- Guide multidisciplinary teams across AI engineers, data scientists, and consultants, establishing best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns.
- Act as a senior technical leader within EY, shaping standards, mentoring teams, and contributing to the development of AI capabilities and assets.
- Contribute to EY AI accelerators, frameworks, and reference architectures
- Capture reusable patterns and lessons learned across engagements
- Support go-to-market activities and thought leadership
To qualify for the role, you must have.
- 7+ years in enterprise technology, architecture, or AI engineering roles
- Proven experience delivering AI/ML or GenAI solutions in production environments
- Advanced LLM/RAG engineering: prompt pipelines, embeddings, vector stores (FAISS/Milvus/Pinecone), hybrid retrieval, grounding, hallucination mitigation and evaluation frameworks.
- Experience working in consulting, advisory, or large enterprise delivery contexts
- Demonstrated success engaging with senior client stakeholders
- Strong hands son experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, AI orchestration, machine learning pipelines and model lifecycle management in enterprise environments
- Experience with data platforms, APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience designing architectures on at least one major cloud platform (Azure-preferred, AWS, GCP)
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams (engineering, data science, architecture, product, design) through complex delivery cycles.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in regulated industries (Financial Services, Public Sector, Health, Energy)
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and model risk management practices
- Prior experience within a Big 4 or global consultancy
- Experience building or scaling AI platforms or internal developer ecosystems
- Experience leading technical discovery sessions with business stakeholders and engineering teams to define technology and hardware infrastructure requirements.
