Job Introduction

Permanent | Part time
24 hours per week
Monday & Thursday 7am - 1:30pm | Friday 7am - 8pm
€15.41 per hour

Security Officer

Wilton, Cork - Part Time - Permanent

What you'll do:

Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security protocols
Monitor premises to prevent rule infractions
Conduct regular patrols, ensuring a visible and reassuring presence
Respond promptly to alarms and security incidents
Enforce company policies and procedures
Maintain accurate records including incident reports, visitor logs and key management systems.
Support contractors and visitors while ensuring all health & safety and site policies are followed.
Carry out opening and closing procedures and assist with general security operations as required.

What you'll bring:

Previous experience in a similar Security Officer role.
A valid PSA Static Guard Licence is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and approachable manner.
Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.
Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
Experience working in environments where confidentiality and discretion are important.
Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
First Aid and/or Fire Warden training would be an advantage.
