Head of Business Optimisation

Location: Dublin or Cork | Hybrid Working

As we continue our journey toward becoming Ireland’s most trusted and sustainable business, we are looking for a Head of Business Optimisation to join our team.

This influential leadership role is critical to enhancing both in-store and back-office efficiencies across all Musgrave-operated Retail stores. You will collaborate closely with Finance, Store Operations and store teams, working together to drive efficiency and embed a culture of continuous improvement across our stores.

What you’ll be doing:

Championing the adoption of AI and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and empower Store Operations and Store teams with advanced, data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Ensuring business KPI reporting is accessible, simplified, user-focused, and action-oriented.
Working closely with the Head of Profitability to align on operational efficiencies across all Musgrave-operated stores.
Developing and delivering annual efficiency-costs saving Targets.
Undertaking a comprehensive review of essential repetitive tasks and functions instore to identify opportunities for automation and capacity generation.
Integrating new stores through a thorough checklist process.
Leading change management by guiding employees through adoption of new systems and cultural transformations via communication.
Developing and nurturing relationships with stakeholders, including Musgrave Business Services team.
Maintaining a naturally curious mindset to identify and realise untapped profit opportunities across all cost lines.
Enforcing a highly numeric approach to overall store cost management, and optimal operational expenditure on ongoing basis.

What you’ll bring:

8-10+ years experience in a similar role, ideally with Retail Store Experience, or relevant experience in business transformation.

Proven leadership in driving profitable business growth
Significant experience managing stakeholders and operating at a senior level within an organisation
Ability to build relationships and deal confidently with stakeholders
A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, possessing the confidence to challenge assumptions and implement transformational change.
Proven experience in managing change.

Results driven
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a degree in a relevant commercial discipline.
