The role
Located in the prestigious Dundrum Town Centre area of South County Dublin, the cosy cottage restaurant offers not only our exquisite range of food, wine, port and sherry, there is a large open area for summer al fresco dinning.
We are currently looking for an experienced Sous Chef for a Full Time role as part of our friendly team in Port House Ibericos.
The Sous chef will work closely with the Head Chef and restaurant manager in ensuring all aspects of the kitchen are managed efficiently. You will assist in managing the kitchen team to deliver the highest quality food, in a busy and fast paced kitchen environment. You will have an interest in not just developing your own skills but those of your team also.
As a Sous Chef you will:
- Have a keen eye for detail to oversee the preparation, portioning and appearance of the food served
- Promote teamwork and cohesiveness between the kitchen and front of house
- Have excellent communication and leadership skills
- Have a strong knowledge and proven understanding in HACCP, modern food preparation techniques and kitchen management
- Be passionate about high quality food
- Have a positive attitude, ability to multitask and be comfortable working under pressure
Requirements:
· At least two years Chef experience
· Availability to work fulltime hours, including nights and weekends
