HPE Financial Services is seeking an experienced full-time permanent Senior Financial Analyst with a strong background in financial and management accounting.
This offers great exposure to a variety of accounting & analysis work, US GAAP & Local GAAP & tax compliance. The role will provide invaluable experience within a fast-paced multinational financial services environment.
Responsibilities to include (but not limited to):
- Review monthly profit & loss and balance sheet analysis for each country and ensure relevant explanation of results

Ensure that balance sheets are adequately controlled

Perform monthly review of balance sheet reconciling items and assist our Bangalore outsource partners with clearance of same

Deal support, working with Sales, Service Excellence teams and Portfolio Management teams on deals and ensuring correct revenue recognition

Investigation and rectification of any errors/omissions in contracts/accounts which will involve liaising with other departments

Preparation of local GAAP accounts and audits on a timely basis

Provision of financial information to tax team as required

Perform accounting and analysis activities where significant judgement, developed technical skills and strong problem-solving ability is required

Provide support and information during internal audits, SOX audits and tax audits as required

Assist with interim and year end close Hewlett-Packard International Bank DAC (Grant Thornton) and HPE Group (Ernst & Young) external audits
- Assist with updating the Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) models on a quarterly basis plus the monthly reserve template

Assist with quarterly Operational Risk reporting (Risks, Controls and Key Risk Indicator)

Leads or provides expertise to cross functional project teams
Education and Experience Required:
-
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA)
- Typically, 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst

Typically experienced in more than one finance function

Be regarded as a subject matter expert

Exercises significant independent judgment

Lead and provide expertise to functional project teams.

Excellent analytical skills, provide complex and highly complex financial analysis

Excellent windows application skills, in particular Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, filters)
- Additional business application would be of benefit such as Business Objects & Power BI
- Have experience using AI technology such as Chat GPT and MS Copilot

Ability to deliver to tight deadlines when necessary

Excellent communication and influencing skills and be able to deal effectively with non-financial people, Bangalore outsource partners as well as senior management located in multiple locations

Superior teamwork skills, mentor and develop financial analysts and Bangalore team members

Strong business acumen

Leasing experience while not essential would be an advantage
