Position Description
Reporting to the Reporting Team Lead, the Reporting Analyst plays a key role within a commercially focused Pricing and Trading team. The role involves delivering accurate, timely tariff books and reporting to multiple stakeholders, while supporting wider Pricing and Trading activities.
The team manages Electric Ireland’s reporting across market segments, including tariff book distribution for price changes (commercial or regulatory), customer volume reporting to Generation & Trading, and provision of financial data for month-end, forecasts, and budgeting. It also supports price reviews, monitoring processes, and regulatory reporting.
This role suits an analytical, motivated individual seeking experience in a commercial environment. It requires strong collaboration with Pricing, Finance, Regulation, Business & Residential Markets.
This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity leave cover role.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver accurate tariff books to support pricing and billing
Provide customer volume data for Electric Ireland and ESB Generation & Trading
Produce timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reports
Complete all regulatory reporting requirements
Conduct billing analysis and market monitoring to inform trading decisions
Assist with Green Source Verification, Fuel Mix Disclosure, and audits. Support annual emissions reporting (ETS2)
Contribute to Renewable Heat Obligation (RHO) reporting
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
2 + years’ experience of the energy industry, and knowledge of wholesale or retail electricity markets
Third level degree in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Proven record of working as part of a team, providing support and guidance to other team members
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Ability to take initiative where appropriate, with ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong Microsoft Office skills specifically in the use of complex Excel spreadsheets
Proven ability to collaborate and engage with multiple stakeholders
Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
Desirable
Experience of working in pricing and / or trading environment.
Knowledge of TPS, DFS systems.
Competent in the use of computer-based modelling packages with experience in VBA, SPSS and SQL Server.
Location
This position will be based in Swift Square, Santry.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week . All Smart Working arrangements are subject to regular review based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the business.

Salary
€49,800 - €58,600 per annum (depending on experience)
