How You'll Make an Impact:
The Enterprise Network & Security team designs, secures, and operates the enterprise-facing infrastructure that provides critical interconnectivity for employees and partners. We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to strengthen our global security posture by focusing on the design, implementation, and management of next-generation firewalls, load balancers, and other network security platforms. The successful candidate will lead efforts to enforce security policies, improve resiliency, and ensure compliance across broadcast, data center, and enterprise network environments, while also mentoring peers and driving innovation in security best practices.
What You'll Do:
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise firewalls, load balancers, and related network security platforms.
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize network security controls across enterprise, broadcast, and data center networks.
- Triage, diagnose, and resolve firewall, load balancing, and VPN-related incidents.
- Ensure compliance with InfoSec requirements and industry-standard security frameworks.
- Drive automation efforts to standardize firewall and security policy management (“security as code”).
- Collaborate with InfoSec, broadcast engineering, and enterprise infrastructure teams to enforce security policies and respond to new requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for security standards, policies, and operational procedures.
- Provide subject matter expertise on network security to cross-functional engineering teams.
- Participate in on-call rotation for operational network and security support.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience working in enterprise network security environments.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality internal customer service.
- Proficiency with documentation and productivity tools such as Google Workspace, LucidChart/Visio, and MS Office.
- Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, VPN technologies (GlobalProtect, AnyConnect, IPsec), and security policy enforcement.
- Strong experience with F5 load balancers (LTM/GTM/ASM/AFM) and traffic management policies.
- Knowledge of Cisco ASA firewalls and other major vendor platforms (Juniper, Arista, etc.).
- Familiarity with zero-trust access control solutions (ClearPass, Cisco ISE).
- Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, IP Multicast).
- Experience with automation frameworks (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Go) for network security operations.
- Skilled in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, NetFlow, Syslog; OpenNMS, SolarWinds, or Datadog a plus).
- Ability to take ownership of critical issues through resolution and support on-call rotations.
