Job Description Summary
Job Scope
Reporting to the Operations Manager , the Master Planner/Cost Controller is specifically responsible for production scheduling , planning maintenance/ calibrations activities, and Financial Control for projects and sustaining needs. This candidate will be required to work closely with the Engineering, Operations, Finance, Accounts Payable and Quality department as well as with College Park personnel and suppliers.
Roles and Responsibilities
Scheduling & Planning
Developing and maintaining the integrated manufacturing schedule to include Operations, Engineering, Quality, Cleaning, Project, and external activities, identifying key milestones and interdependent activities.
Scheduling of Manufacturing activities
Scheduling of Calibration activities
Scheduling of Preventative Maintenance Activities
Yearly Master schedule forecasting and generation of schedule scenarios as deemed necessary
Vendor engagement for scheduling and planning of requalification or maintenance activities.
Day to day management of consumption of key input utilities, including scheduling activities around material availability constraints and management of consumption of key raw materials and forecasting material requirements, including inspection and release activities
Cost Control
Management of Cost Control monthly KPIs
Requesting quotations for equipment and services, setting up suppliers and ensuring compliance, raising Purchase Orders and updating existing Purchase Orders as required
Site Forecasting: Tracking of Purchase Orders, Contractor Cost and expected spend per month. Reviewing open Purchase Orders and requesting the closure of Purchase Orders if required
Close-out of capital and sustaining projects
Project Budgets: Tracking of project budgets, actual and predicted project spend
Full Time Contractor Project Cost: Tracking of projected and actual contractor cost against projected budgets
General support such as answering Purchase Order and invoice related inquires.
Asset Capitalization assistance and providing reports relating to Purchase Orders and budgets.
Administrative
General administrative support such as retrieval, approval, storage and transmittal of documentation, SOP updates, generating Memorandums, Work Instructions and Approval Forms.
Management of Weekly and Monthly KPIs for Manufacturing and Engineering
Oversight of CBR/PBR documentation cycle time through issuance, execution, and review.
Experience, Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum Level 6 qualification in Science, Engineering, or related discipline
Project Management qualification.
5+ years’ experience in Administration, Scheduling or Procurement.
Experience in Procurement Transactional Activities including Purchase Requisitions and Supplier Set Ups, Problem Resolution, and Invoice on Hold resolutions & Procurement Helpdesk Duties desirable
Competencies / Preferred Skills
Project Management & problem-solving skills
Strong computer skills i.e. MS Word, Visio Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro, SAP/COUPA, SharePoint,
Highly organized & ability to prioritize, self-manage time & work duties
