We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, detailed technical drawings and plans based on architectural and structural specifications using Autodesk Revit software.
A successful candidate will have extensive experience in 3D modeling, construction documentation, and BIM coordination.
The ability to work within a collaborative environment is crucial as you will be interacting with engineers, architects, and project managers.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and implement BIM/Revit standards, templates, families, and best practices across mechanical and electrical design projects.
- Produce, coordinate, and manage high-quality BIM models and AutoCAD drawings, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and company procedures.
- Support multidisciplinary design teams with Revit and AutoCAD modeling, drafting, coordination, and technical problem-solving throughout all project stages.
- Perform model reviews, quality assurance checks, clash detection, and coordination activities to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for BIM workflows, information management, and project delivery processes.
- Facilitate effective information exchange and coordination within Common Data Environments (CDEs), including BIM 360, Aconex, and Procore.
- Attend design team and coordination meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to resolve design and coordination issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve BIM workflows, automation, model quality, and project delivery processes through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the integration of new digital engineering tools, software, and technologies to enhance design efficiency and project outcomes.
- Ensure project models and drawings are maintained, updated, and delivered in accordance with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Revit/Autocad Specialist or BIM Engineer
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and other BIM software
- Understanding of architectural and construction drawings
- Experience with 3D modeling and rendering
- Knowledge of building codes and industry standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Professional certification in Revit will be an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design and modeling of mechanical and electrical building services within the residential sector.
- Advanced proficiency in the latest versions of Autodesk Revit, with strong expertise in BIM coordination, design discipline integration, clash detection, and workflow optimization.
- Strong AutoCAD design and drafting experience, including the preparation, modification, and coordination of detailed mechanical and electrical drawings, layouts, schematics, and construction documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly across both Revit and AutoCAD environments, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout project lifecycles.
- Experience developing and maintaining BIM standards, families, templates, and standard operating procedures.
- Familiarity with common data environments and project collaboration platforms including BIM360, Aconex, and Procore.
- Proactive and self-motivated with excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
