The Role
- The management and maintenance of all aspects of the HSE Management Systems within Smurfit Westrock Dublin.
- Prompt communication & reporting when dealing with accident / incident investigations & general queries relating to HSE matters.
- Liaise directly with Production, Planning, Sales & Finance departments to ensure all HSE control system and procedures are adhered to.
- On time reporting of all weekly, monthly, yearly HSE reports to the Plant Manager & relevant SKG personnel as required.
- Managing, driving and overseeing all aspects of Health and Safety within SK Dublin. This includes all Health & Safety KPIs by maximising the use of all systems to minimise SK Dublin’s TRIR by supporting all company programmes designed for continuously improving our systems and performance.
- Conducting and communicating Risk Assessments and creating Safe Systems of Work to ensure safe operations on site.
- Management and proposal of capital and other special projects related to Health Safety and Environment. This includes assisting in establishing costs, working within budgets, managing contractors etc.
- Responsible for co-ordinating and management of all Environmental & H/S audits to a successful conclusion.
- Arrange and manage all HSE related training for appropriate employees as required.
- Acceptance and support of all new systems and procedures as they are introduced that relate to HSE Management.
- Management of sourcing and acquisition of PPE and associated H&S supplies.
- Any other reasonable duties as deemed appropriate by the Operations Manager or Plant Manager.
Attendance at appropriate management and other meetings.
