Lead Electrical/ Automation Engineer (Cork)
Position Summary
NeoDyne is on the lookout for a talented and driven Lead Electrical/ Automation Engineer to join our growing Power Generation & Energy Systems team. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on cutting-edge projects, guiding a team of 2-3 design engineers in delivering high-availability, high-reliability turnkey plant and control solutions. Projects will include large-scale systems including CCGT plants, industrial CHP (with island mode capability), and critical standby diesel generation.

Key Responsibilities

Developing detailed schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.

Producing drawings, wiring schematics, lists and data sheets using AutoCAD and EPLAN.

Designing electrical control systems and instrumentation for power generation and energy systems.

Overseeing the installation of control systems and instrumentation equipment.

Collaborating with technicians and contractors to ensure proper implementation.

Undertaking Factory and Site Acceptance Testing.

Commissioning activities in the field.

Mentoring Graduate & Junior Engineers.
Experience & Skills
Required
-
Level 8 Degree in Electrical, Energy Engineering, or equivalent.

4-5 years' experience in electrical engineering.

Experience using: AutoCAD and EPLAN or similar software.

Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
Desired
-
Experience with Peaking, CCGT, CHP Plants or Embedded Renewables would be highly desirable but not essential as we will provide full training.
