The Global Test Engineering (GTE) team develops advanced manufacturing test and validation solutions for Dell’s portfolio of AI Server and Storage products.
Over the next 2–3 years, we are transforming AI rack‑level testing into an AI‑driven, scalable, and secure platform, accelerating time‑to‑market for industry‑leading AI infrastructure powering the world’s most innovative companies.
This is a strong opportunity for a Software Senior Quality Engineer to drive quality at scale, influence system design, and help modernize how complex AI systems are validated in high‑volume manufacturing environments.
What You’ll Achieve
As a Software Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of manufacturing test and automation software.
You will:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test strategies and frameworks across software and system boundaries

Contribute throughout the Software Development Lifecycle, partnering early with engineers to influence requirements and design from a quality perspective

Validate complex systems spanning software, firmware, hardware, and networking

Collaborate closely with software engineers, manufacturing teams, and product teams to understand system behaviour and risks
-
Analyze failures, identify root causes, and drive defects to resolution with strong technical insight

Continuously improve test coverage, efficiency, and scalability, particularly for rack‑level and system‑level testing
-
Apply AI‑assisted and agentic testing approaches to improve defect detection, triage, and regression analysis

Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior QE team members

Essential Requirements

Strong experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or system validation
-
Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages, with the ability to design and debug automated tests

Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, system architecture, and system‑level interactions

Experience validating systems involving operating systems, networking, hardware, and firmware
-
Hands‑on experience with test frameworks, tools, and automation pipelines
-
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a root‑cause mindset
-
Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional Agile teams

Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable Requirements

5–7 years of relevant experience in software QA, automation, or system testing

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
-
Experience in manufacturing, test engineering, embedded systems, firmware, BIOS, or device‑level validation
-
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, continuous testing, or AI‑assisted test generation and analysis
-
Experience testing distributed systems or large‑scale infrastructure is a plus
