About the role:
Ethos prides itself on delivering efficient, effective solutions across a wide range of industries. We’re currently searching for a qualified accountant to join our ranks as a Finance Business Partner and continue our tradition of success. This person will play an important role across all areas of finance for the entity, as well as supporting the FP&A and Operations teams and other Ad hoc tasks as necessary.

Candidate Attributes
The candidate must be based in Ireland to be consider for this position
2-3 years post qualified experience (PQE) essential
Ideally working in an industry role in construction or service provider
Experience working in the UK market desirable but not essential
Strong commercial acumen
Good organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively & escalate as necessary
Proven track record of strong work ethic. Clear examples of “rolling up sleeves and getting stuck in”
Proven track record of problem solving with clear examples
Proactive & effective communicator, able to communicate both internally within the business and externally to clients & customers
Team player, ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other team members, in pursuit of finance objectives
Strong IT skills, including a proficiency in the use of excel. Experience working with financial systems / ERP a must
Continuous improvement mindset
Your Day-to-Day Activities:
Own the role as finance business partner and point of contact for all finance related matters for Ethos’ UK based subsidiary. You will be required to present analysis, provide insight and make recommendations for future strategies
Assist commercial team with pricing, invoicing and cash collection
Own the accounts payable process implementing a purchase order process and keeping creditor balances within terms
Own cash flow management for the company reporting to the financial controller and managing director of the business on a weekly and monthly basis
Own the payroll process working with HR and external payroll provider to ensure accurate processing and payment of payroll on monthly basis
Take ownership of the company’s ERP system maintaining accurate master data and ensuring adequate training and resourcing is provided to the rest of the team
Play an active role in month end including:
Production of company management accounts within group deadlines
Ensure all areas are prepared to a high degree of accuracy
Work with the Financial Controller and other finance team members on timely delivery of reporting deliverables
Manage general ledger postings, reconciliations and journal entries
Work with local compliance partners of foreign subsidiaries around tax and statutory filings.
Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all completed accurately and on time
Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and preparing necessary schedules.
Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring adherence to company policies
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic and operational decisions.
Play an active role in new ERP system implementation
Occasional travel to the UK will be required
Assist financial controller and financial accountants with group reporting requirements
Assist Financial Controller and CFO with any ad hoc tasks.
