About the Role
As a core member of Goodbody Wealth Management’s Technical Support Services team, the Paraplanner partners with Financial Planning Specialists and Strategic Advisors to convert complex client information into clear, compliant and client‑centric financial plans for high‑ and ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients. You will build robust cash‑flow models (Voyant), prepare and iterate planning recommendations, coordinate case conferences, and manage documentation and fee tracking from engagement through post‑plan follow‑through. You will report to the Financial Planning Practice Manager and contribute to the ongoing development of Goodbody’s planning methodology and client experience. This is a permanent role with a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive financial plans, including cash‑flow modelling (Voyant), net‑worth projections and scenario analysis.
- Coordinate planning workflows: case conferences, agendas, draft iterations and stakeholder reviews to agreed timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings, data sources and assumptions; collate and interpret third‑party information.
- Manage onboarding for planning engagements, ensuring adherence to protocols and the Consumer Protection Code (CPC).
- Track plan delivery, fees and the execution of recommendations after plan sign‑off.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of templates, process maps and training materials as regulations and best practice evolve.
Qualifications and Experience
Professional & Academic Requirements
The successful candidate will hold relevant third‑level and professional qualifications. The following are considered particularly suitable:
- Business, financial or investment‑related third‑level qualification
- Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or a willingness to complete the in the near future
Experience
- At least three years' experience in a financial services client advisory environment.
- Experience in the areas of pensions, retirement planning and estate planning beneficial.
- Familiarity with the operational and systems requirements of CPC and other regulatory requirements.
Specific systems knowledge
- Strong digital literacy, MS Office including Excel, Word and Powerpoint, CRM systems, and preferably financial planning tools such as Voyant.
- Strong knowledge of financial needs analysis software and market intelligence software essential.
