Technical Consultant – Power Platform & CRM

The Role:
At OpenSky Data Systems, our continued growth and expanding client partnerships have created an exciting opportunity for a Technical Consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft Power Platform and CRM Solutions to join our team.
This role is a senior, client-facing technical leadership position within the Digital Services – CRM & Power Platform practice. The primary objective is to provide hands-on technical and delivery leadership support to the CRM Practice Lead, ensuring complex projects are executed effectively, client relationships are actively managed, and technical risks are addressed early.
This role is ideal for a senior CRM / Power Platform consultant who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing solution design and mentoring less experienced team members while working closely with both clients and colleagues. The consultant will be expected to take ownership of complex engagements, act as a senior escalation point for both project and support issues, and represent OpenSky confidently with client stakeholders on-site and remotely.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Delivery
Provide direct technical and delivery support to the CRM Practice Lead across complex and high-risk projects.
Lead the design, development and delivery of Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM solutions, including customizations, plugins, workflows, JavaScript, PCF controls, Power Apps Code Apps (React/TypeScript SPAs), Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder models, and integrations.
Act as a subject matter expert across Power Apps (Canvas, Model-driven and Code Apps), Power Pages, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio (Copilot Agents), AI Builder, Generative Pages, and CRM platforms.
Own technical architecture decisions, ensuring best practices around performance, security, and scalability.
Drive adoption of AI-first delivery practices – Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder, Generative Pages, and AI-assisted development tooling – across client engagements and internal accelerators.
Design and oversee integrations with third-party systems and data sources.
Provide technical leadership throughout the full delivery lifecycle offering solutions to complex problems.
Consulting & Client Engagement
Partner with clients to understand complex business challenges and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Lead technical workshops, design sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, offering pragmatic and forward-looking recommendations.
Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
Collaboration & Quality
Work closely with functional consultants, project managers, and leadership teams.
Conduct code reviews, technical quality checks, and enforce best practices across projects.
Contribute to pre-sales activity where appropriate, providing technical input and solution design support.
Mentor and support junior and mid-level consultants and developers.
Provide technical guidance, reviews, and coaching across projects.
Contribute to the development of internal standards, accelerators, and reusable assets.
Help shape and grow OpenSky Data’s Power Platform and CRM capability.
Ensure solutions are well-documented, tested, and delivered to a high standard, with clear handover into support where applicable
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
Demonstrated experience working directly with clients in a consulting or professional services environment.
Extensive hands-on experience developing Microsoft Power Platform solutions across Power Apps (Canvas, Model-driven and Code Apps / SPAs), Power Pages, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio (Copilot Agents), AI Builder, and Generative Pages.
Strong experience with solution architecture, ALM, and deployment strategies.
Proven experience leading complex technical solutions in a consulting or client-facing environment.
Strong problem-solving ability with a structured, analytical approach.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior technical and business stakeholders.
Working knowledge of modern Power Platform capabilities – Copilot Studio (Copilot Agents), AI Builder, Power Apps Code Apps (SPA development with React/TypeScript), Generative Pages, and Microsoft 365 Copilot extensions for Dynamics 365.
Fammiliarity with Azure services that integrate with Power Platform – Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure OpenAI.
