The Merrion, one of Dublin’s finest luxury hotels is recruiting for a Housekeeping Porter.

Centrally located in Dublin within easy reach of public transport, this role will offer you the opportunity to work in a beautiful hotel where the highest of standards are in place and where you have all the tools you need to do your job. Working alongside an experienced team, you will be offered plenty of training. This is a really rewarding role on a team where you can be assured of a warm welcome!

Your role as Housekeeping Porter will include:

Collect linen from the corridors at regular periods.
Deliver requested items to guest bedrooms.
Moving furniture.
Shampoo bedrooms, public corridors, public areas, chairs and sofas.
Assist the Public Area Team in relation to deep cleaning of public areas
Clean the employee changing rooms to standard operating procedures.
Stock all storerooms throughout the day ensuring all items needed are present, while maintaining efficient use of space.
When you monitor stock levels on a daily/weekly/monthly basis – liaising with Stores to ensure we always have a constant stock supply and requisitioning all stock required.

** Please note, you will work with a team of 3 – 4 Porters per day. Teamwork is very important**

The successful candidate will have strong guest focus, great communication skills, spoken and written English, multi-tasking ability eand enjoy contributing in a positive way to The Merrion Culture. Flexibility in response to guest and business needs is required, no two days are the same!
