Full job description

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced hotel receptionist to join our professional and highly skilled reception team. If you have the relevant experience or would like to develop your career we could have an excellent opportunity for you.

This is a part-time position. It is important that applicants are available to work early and late shifts during the week, at weekends and public holidays. (Early Shifts: 8am-4pm & Late Shifts: 4pm-12am).

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a warm, professional welcome to all guests throughout their stay.
Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using the hotel’s Property Management System (PMS).
Handle guest inquiries in person, by phone and via email, ensuring prompt and helpful responses.
Assist with reservations, amendments and cancellations.
Process payments, pre-authorisations and billing queries accurately.
Liaise with other departments, including housekeeping and maintenance, to support guest needs.
Maintain strong knowledge of hotel services, current promotions and local attractions.
Address and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner, escalating when required.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies and health & safety standards.
Keep the front desk area clean, organised, and presentable at all times.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in hotel reception.
Must be computer literate i.e. word & excel.
Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
Must be enthusiastic and a quick learner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, approachable manner.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Keen attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
Experience with a PMS (preferably HOTSOFT) is an advantage, though training will be provided.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Must be available to work a combination of shifts both early and late.
A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
