Key Responsibilities and Duties:
What you'll do
Become the expert in automating bookkeeping, solving challenges that no one has solved before
Take full ownership of building and deploying AI/ML models that power our automated bookkeeping workflows
Identify and assess new opportunities for applying AI to automating bookkeeping, evaluating feasibility, prototyping, and driving these applications from concept to production
Collaborate on data pipeline design and data engineering efforts to support reliable, scalable ML systems
Implement and maintain robust monitoring systems to ensure model performance and data quality in production
Shape Outmin’s AI architecture and help define the future of automated bookkeeping
Key Skills and Competencies:
Minimum Requirements
4+ years of experience in data science, machine learning engineering, or similar roles
Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Proven track record of developing and deploying models in production environments
Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
Experience working with unstructured data and data extraction techniques
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently tackle complex technical challenges
Intense curiosity and a growth mindset, eager to learn, explore new ideas, and push boundaries
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering and product teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, or agent-based workflows
Background in NLP, document processing, or data extraction from unstructured sources
Familiarity with data engineering or MLOps practices
Experience in fintech, accounting, or similar domains
Proven ability to thrive in early-stage, fast-paced environments
Hybrid Work
We’re a hybrid team. We aim for a balance of flexibility and in-person connection and problem-solving. We have an office in Dublin that you’re welcome to use as much as you want and we meet in person as often as monthly for collaboration and team events, so you should be able to join in-person in the Dublin office on a regular cadence. And, while we strongly believe in the power of in-person collaboration, we’re open to making exceptions for exceptional remote contributors who thrive on building relationships and working asynchronously.
