Summary of the role:
This is a client partner–led account management role, focused on accelerating growth within existing accounts by deepening relationships and expanding EXL’s Data, Digital, and AI footprint across buying centres, services, and subsidiaries. It requires deep ownership of client relationships, operating as a trusted CXO advisor to align EXL’s capabilities with evolving business priorities, unlock new opportunities, and deliver sustained revenue growth through cross-sell and upsell. The individual owns the full account lifecycle—ensuring strong delivery alignment, client satisfaction, and continuous pipeline build that supports long-term portfolio expansion.
In addition, the role contributes to driving incremental revenue growth beyond the core account base by unlocking new buying centres and shaping strategic opportunities. This includes collaborating across teams to pursue and convert high-value, Data & AI-led engagements while strengthening EXL’s positioning as a long-term transformation partner.
As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:
- Strategic Account Growth & Business Development (Named Accounts) - Drive Data & AI led growth across strategic accounts, expanding footprint across subsidiaries while unlocking new revenue through cross-sell, upsell, and new opportunities
- Client Relationship Management - Build and own strong CXO relationships, act as the primary client interface, and ensure seamless delivery, alignment, and long-term partnership value
- New Logo Acquisition & Market Growth - Own new logo acquisition, originating, shaping, and closing large, complex deals by positioning integrated Data, Digital, and AI solutions
- Sales & Revenue Growth - Deliver sustained account growth through Data & AI-led upsell, cross-sell, and expansion into new buying centres
- Tech Savviness & Data & AI Proficiency - Engage CIOs/CTOs with compelling, context driven articulation of EXL’s Data & AI capabilities within the client’s tech landscape
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Solutioning - Orchestrate cross-functional teams to design and deliver integrated solutions across Data, Analytics, AI, Digital, and Operations
- Pipeline Development & Conversion - Build and manage a high-quality pipeline with strong conversion discipline and predictable revenue realization
- Financial Management & Oversight - Drive revenue, pipeline, and profitability through strong financial tracking and account governance
- Market Insights & Competitive Intelligence - Leverage market intelligence to anticipate demand, shape Data & AI offerings, and strengthen competitive positioning

Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline.
- Preferred (but not mandatory) - Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) from a reputed institution, with a focus on Strategy, Marketing, Finance, or General Management.
- Minimum 15+ years of demonstrated experience in leading delivery teams, business development, sales, pre-sales or related roles, with a strong track record of success.
- Experience of working in or with Banking & Capital Markets sectors is preferred.
