Role and Responsibilities:

Ensure all Weddings & Events administration standards are met as per current minimum standards such as a 24-hour response time to enquiries and correspondence and maintain system for active follow-up
Utilise the hotels Front Office System input/booking procedures as per current Standards.
Coordination of corporate events including show rounds of hotel and meeting rooms
Coordination of wedding arrangements with bride and groom, including initial hotel and grounds tour, reception plans, and proposals
Site Inspections with clients when required
Daily office administration duties in collaboration with the Events team
Sales responsibilities include showing potential customers around the hotel and upselling every department, as well as looking for new business opportunities through cold calling, telephone sales, mail shots, and other methods.
Build network in organizations that may directly or indirectly impact our business as appropriate
Research market trends and generate new ideas for service and products that will maintain a Competitive and leading edge over our competitive set
Assist in Meeting and Events Operation Department if required
Attend Sales and Marketing Meetings and any other internal meetings where required
Flexible working hours as the business requires (can be early morning, late night or at weekends
Required to work Duty Manager Shifts

About The Role

Candidate Requirements:

Third level education in Event Management, Hospitality or Sales desirable

Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent business acumen and innovation to grow Events
Meticulous attention to detail
Immaculate grooming/presentation.
Intermediate computer skills.
Fluent English
Ambition in the area of Sales and Events
Previous experience desirable
Excellent customer service, professional etiquette, communication (oral and written), negotiation skills, corporate networking
